Junior has been accepted to screen at the 2006 Santa Fe Film Festival this December 6-10. Hooray! I'd love to attend, but I'm busy in pre-production for my next short. Thank you so much to Santa Fe for recognizing Junior! It looks like an amazing festival, and it's especially an honor since Santa Fe was my first hometown.

We attended the Angelus Student Film Festival awards ceremony in Los Angeles, where Junior was a Finalist. The winning films were uniformly well-made, complex, and character-driven. It was inspiring to see so many great short films in one festival. And it was a chance to visit beautiful Los Angeles. Ahh, sunshine.

We just returned from the Breckenridge Festival of Film in Colorado, where Junior won the award for Best Student Film! Hooray! Thanks so much to everyone for a wonderful festival in an amazingly beautiful setting. We got to see many great films including -- Approaching Union Square; Snapshot; Four Weeks, Four Hours; Eve of Understanding; Class Act.

Junior screened this past weekend at the Rural Route Film Festival here in New York, where it picked up an award for Best Narrative Film. Whoo hoo! The festival was wonderful and we saw many great films. Thanks so much to Rural Route for an amazing festival and for the delicious, ice-cold Pabst Blue Ribbon beer -- the pride of Milwaukee.
